锰砂滤料
锰砂滤料是采用国内优质锰砂矿、晶粒致密、机械强度大、化学活性强、不易破碎、不溶于水的天然锰矿砂，经水洗打磨除杂、破碎、干燥、磁选、筛分、除尘等工艺加工成砂，再把加工好的锰砂按一定的级配调合而成。它具有水处理滤料最理想的级配比例，使它在单位体积内有最大的比表面积、最强的截污能力、最大的氧化催化作用和最小的反冲洗流失率。 锰砂滤料外观黑褐色，近圆形，主要成份是二氧化锰，含量在25%-40%之间。

锰砂用途
锰砂滤料主要用于降低水中的铁锰铁和锰总含量，根据我国生活饮用水卫生标准规其铁含量≤0.3㎎/L，
锰含量≤0.1㎎/L，长时间饮用含铁含锰量过高的水会严重影响身体健康。
锰砂除铁是一种接触催化除铁工艺，适合于地下水含铁量小于20mg/L的除铁。天然锰砂中含的高价锰
能将水中的二价铁氧化成三价铁，同时在表面形成有催化作用的“活性滤膜”，进一步提高了除铁效果。含铁
水经曝气后，只经锰砂一次过滤，就能完成全部除铁过程。
锰砂工作原理
铁以Fe2+的状态曾于地下（井）水中，其水有异色异味，污染离子交换树脂而降低交换能力，长时间后生成铁垢，影响传热，能腐蚀设备。而锰砂中的MnO2与Fe2+发生氧化还原反应，使Fe2+变为Fe3+并生成 Fe(OH)3沉淀，从而利用锰砂过滤器的反冲洗功能达到去除净化的目的。 用于地下水除铁和除锰的天然锰砂滤料，其锰的形态应以氧化锰为主。含锰量（以MnO2计，下同）不应小于35%的天然锰砂滤料，既可用于地下水除铁，又可用于地下水除锰；含锰量为20%～30%的天然锰砂滤料，只宜用于地下水除铁；含锰量小于20%的锰矿砂则不宜采用。
锰砂滤料使用注意事项
天然锰砂池的反冲洗时间一般为5-15分钟。天然锰砂滤料表面的“活性滤膜“结构比较硫松，能在长时间的冲洗中破坏，所以滤池的反冲洗应以不破坏滤料表面的“活性滤膜”为度。否期会引起滤后水质严重恶化，在地下水除铁滤池中，应采用不易为铁质堵塞 的 配水系统形式。推荐采用上设承托层的管式大阻力配水系统和格 栩式或孔板式小阻力配水系统。
