天然沸石是铝硅酸盐类矿物，外观呈白色或砖红色，属弱酸性阳离子交换剂，经人工导入活性组分，使其具有新的离子交换或吸附能力，吸附容量也相应增大。主要用于中小型锅炉用水的软化处理，以除去水中的钙、镁离子，从而减少锅炉内水垢的生成，减轻水测金属的腐蚀，延长锅炉的使用寿命。在废水处理中，可用于除去水中的磷和铅以及六价铬。失效后的沸石可用于浓盐水逆流再生后重复使用。
活化沸石是天然沸石经过多种特殊工艺活化而成，二氧化硅含量达68%，密度为0.75-1g/cm3 ，外观为灰白色颗粒状。沸石活化后孔隙率显著增加，比表面积大幅提高，吸附能力成倍增加，可达到甚至超过活性炭的吸附值。而价格却远低于活性炭，是活性炭的理想替代品。离子交换性能也更好，不仅能去除水中的浊度、色度、异味，而且对水中有害的重金属，如：铬、镉、镍、锌、汞、铁离子及有机物：酚、六六六、滴滴涕、三氮、氨氮、磷酸根离子等物质具有吸附交换作用，也有利于去除水中各种微污染物且水浸出液不含有毒，有害人体物质，去除水中铁、氟效果更为显著。

产品用途
沸石具有吸附和离子变换功能，并且由于每种沸石有其特定的均一孔径(0.3～1nm)，只能通过相应大小的分子，广泛用作催化剂或载体、干燥剂、饲料添加剂、土壤改良剂、污水净化剂、塑料和造纸填料、海水提钾等，并大量用于水泥生产。
天然沸石粉含有高纯度硅酸盐，其成分与4A沸石相同，具有疏松、多孔的结构，白度极高。可应用于：
1、应用于洗涤行业，作为肥皂、香皂、透明皂、增白皂、洗涤膏、洗衣粉的原料，以改善产品的外观质量，提高洗涤效果，降低生产成本。
