【煤质柱状活性炭特性】
煤质柱状活性炭是一种多孔性的含碳物质，其高度发达的孔隙结构使它具有庞大的表面积，所以很容易与空气中的有毒有害气体（有害杂质）充分接触，这种高度发达的孔隙结构——毛细管构成了一个强大吸附力场。从而赋予了煤质柱状活性炭所特有的吸附性能。当这些有毒、有害气体(杂质)碰到毛细管时煤质柱状活性炭孔周围强大的吸附力场会立即将有毒、有害气体（杂质）分子吸入孔内，达到净化空气的作用。

【煤质柱状活性炭用途】
气体净化用煤质柱状活性炭：用于脱除空气中的污染物，化工原料气体、化工合成气体、制药工业气体、饮料用二氧化碳气体及氢气、氨气、氯气、氯化氢、臭氧、乙烃、乙烷、丁烷、裂化气、惰性气体等的净化及原子设施排气等的净化。
净化水用煤质柱状活性炭：以精选过的优质烟煤为原料精制而成，吸附量大、吸附范围广。该系列产品可进一步去除水中的有机物和色度，主要以活性炭吸附、过滤为主，并通过水洗再生。主要用于城市生活饮用水、自来水、纯净水、蒸馏水、超纯水等制造设备的填装、脱氯、除油净化，及各种工业污水深度净化处理。
脱硫用煤质柱状活性炭：以优质煤为原料精致而成，或以优质活性炭为载体，引入高活性的脱硫改性剂或活性剂进行改性处理。适用于合成氨、甲醇、甲烷化煤气、合成燃料、食品加工等生产工艺中的脱硫；也可用于城市煤气、水煤气、半水煤气、石油气、天然气等精脱硫。
回收溶剂用煤质活性炭：过滤孔隙结构发达，比表面积大，吸附速度快，易于再生，主要用于苯、甲苯、二甲苯、醚、醇类、汽油、三氯甲烷、四氯甲烷、等有机溶剂的回收，以及烃类化合物蒸汽的回收。
【煤质柱状炭注意事项】
不是所有的煤质柱状活性炭都能吸附有害气体，只有当煤质柱状活性炭的孔隙结构略大于有害气体分子的直径，能够让有害气体分子完全进入的情况下（过大或过小都不行），才能达到最佳的吸附效果。目前市场上主要有竹炭和乌金炭类工艺品，乌金炭价格极贵，碘吸附指标仅为650毫克/克左右；竹炭类产品碘吸附指标也仅为700毫克/克左右，与这两类产品相比，而果壳类煤质柱状活性炭碘吸附指标达到1000～1200毫克/克左右，果壳类煤质柱状活性炭具有价格低、吸附效果好、性价比好等特点。
