【石英砂介绍】
石英砂是一种坚硬、耐磨、化学性能稳定的硅酸盐矿物，其主要矿物成分是SiO2 ，石英砂的颜色为乳白色或无色半透明状，硬度7，性脆无解理，贝壳状断口，油脂光泽，密度为2.65g/cm3，堆积密度1-20目为1.6g/cm3，20-200目为1.5g/cm3，其化学、热学和机械性能具有明显的异向性，不溶于酸，微溶于KOH溶液，熔点1750℃。广泛用于玻璃、铸造、陶瓷及耐火材料、冶炼硅铁、冶金熔剂、冶金、建筑、化工、塑料、橡胶、磨料等工业。
【石英砂的基本分类】
一、 普通石英砂
物理性能: SiO2≥90—99% Fe2O3≤0.06—0.02%
耐 火 度： 1750℃
外 观: 大颗粒，表面有黄皮包囊
普通石英砂一般是采用天然石英矿石，经破碎、水洗、烘干、二次筛选而成的一种水处理滤料；普通石英砂滤料起到过滤作用，就像水经过砂石渗透到地下一样，将水中的那些悬浮物阻拦下来，主要针对那些细微的悬浮物。石英砂滤料具有：无杂质、无校角、密度大、机械强度高、载污能力强、使用周期长的特点，是化学水处理的理想材料。
二、精制石英砂又称酸洗石英砂
物理性能: SiO2≥99-99.5% Fe2O3≤0.005%
精制石英砂采用优质天然石英砂，经过精心挑选，精细加工而成，外观呈多棱形、球状，纯白色，具有机械强度高、截污能力强、耐酸性能好等特点。主要用于：玻璃制品、耐火材料、熔炼石类、精密铸造、砂轮磨材、冶炼硅铁、冶金熔剂、陶瓷、研磨材料、铸造造型石英砂等方面。
三、高纯石英砂
物理性能：SiO2≥99.5—99.9% Fe2O3≤0.001%，
高纯石英砂采用优质天然石英石，经过精心挑选，精细加工而成，主要用于：冶金、墨碳化硅、玻璃及玻璃制品、搪瓷、铸钢、水过滤、泡花碱、化工、喷吵等行业。
四、熔融石英砂
化学成份：SiO2 99.9-99.95% Fe2O3 0.005%-0.025%
物理性能：外观为无色透明块状，颗粒或白色粉末
相对比重：2.21g/cm3

五、硅微粉
硅微粉： 外观为灰色或灰白色粉末
耐火度: >1600℃

【石英砂的应用领域】
石英砂是重要的工业矿物原料，非化学危险品，广泛用于玻璃、铸造、陶瓷及耐火材料、冶炼硅铁、冶金熔剂、冶金、建筑、化工、塑料、橡胶、磨料等工业。
1、玻璃：平板玻璃、浮法玻璃、玻璃制品（玻璃罐、玻璃瓶、玻璃管等）、光学玻璃、玻璃纤维、玻璃仪器、导电玻璃、玻璃布及防射线特种玻璃等的主要原料。
2、陶瓷及耐火材料：瓷器的胚料和釉料，窑炉用高硅砖、普通硅砖以及碳化硅等的原料。
3、冶金：硅金属、硅铁合金和硅铝合金等的原料或添加剂、熔剂。
4、建筑：混凝土、胶凝材料、筑路材料、人造大理石、水泥物理性能检验材料（即水泥标准砂）等。

6、机械：铸造型砂的主要原料，研磨材料（喷砂、硬研磨纸、砂纸、砂布等）。

9、涂料：填料（可提高涂料的耐酸性）。
10、航空、航天：其内在分子链结构、晶体形状和晶格变化规律，使其具有的耐高温、热膨胀系数小、高度绝缘、耐腐蚀、压电效应、谐振效应以及其独特的光学特性。
【提纯工艺】
工业上的石英砂原料为满足工业上的需求，可以通过选矿工艺提高其品位。主要有以下一些提纯方法：
1、擦洗脱泥--擦洗是指借助机械力和砂粒间的磨剥力来除去石英砂表面的薄膜铁、粘结及泥性杂质矿物和进一步擦碎未成单体的矿物集合体，再经分级作业达到进一步提纯石英砂的效果。目前主要有棒磨擦洗和机械擦洗。影响擦洗效果的主要因素为擦洗机的结构特点及配置形式；次要因素为擦洗时间、擦洗浓度（擦洗浓度一般以50%—60%为宜）。
2、磁选--磁选主要用于除去石英砂中的磁性矿物，如可以通过强磁性机除去赤铁矿、褐铁矿、黑云母等弱磁性矿物，而强磁性矿物如磁铁矿则可以通过弱磁选机除去。
3、浮选--浮选用于除去石英砂中的长石、云母等一些磁选无法除去的杂质，进一步提高其纯度。
4、酸浸--酸浸是利用石英不溶于酸（HF酸除外），而其它杂质矿物能被酸液溶解的特点，可以实现对石英的进一步提纯。
5、微生物浸出--微生物浸出是指利用微生物浸除石英砂颗粒表面的薄膜铁或浸染铁，这是新近发展起来的一种除铁技术。
