稀土瓷砂滤料添加了稀土改性剂，采用科学配方，经专门成形和高温烧制而成，与传统的石英砂和无烟煤滤料相比，具有以下优点：
1、球形表面，空隙率大，滤速一般为15～20 m3/h,床层水头损失小，可以降低滤池高度，节省电耗和基建费用；
2、颗粒均匀规整，易清洗，反冲洗强度一般为12～20 l /m2 .s，反冲洗的耗水量可减少30～50 %；
3、孔容大，比表面积大，截污量大，一般为9～10 kg/m3，是石英砂滤料的1.2～1.5倍；
4、强度高，磨耗小，不会破损，使用寿命可达15年以上；
5、耐腐蚀，不流失、无污染，无溶出有害物，保证水质稳定。
