天然沸石是铝硅酸盐类矿物，外观呈白色或砖红色，属弱酸性阳离子交换剂，经人工导入活性组分，使其具有新的离子交换或吸附能力，吸附容量也相应增大。主要用于中小型锅炉用水的软化处理，以除去水中的钙、镁离子，从而减少锅炉内水垢的生成，减轻水测金属的腐蚀，延长锅炉的使用寿命。在废水处理中，可用于除去水中的磷和铅以及六价铬。失效后的沸石可用于浓盐水逆流再生后重复使用。
活化沸石是天然沸石经过多种特殊工艺活化而成，其吸附性能比天然沸石更强，离子交换性能也更好，不仅能去除水中的浊度、色度、异味，而且对水中有害的重金属，如：铬、镉、镍、锌、汞、铁离子及有机物：酚、六六六、滴滴涕、三氮、氨氮、磷酸根离子等物质具有吸附交换作用，也有利于去除水中各种微污染物且水浸出液不含有毒，有害人体物质，去除水中铁、氟效果更为显著。因此活化沸石是工业给水、废水处理及自来水过滤的新型理想滤料。
【产品特点】
沸石具有吸附性、离子交换性、催化和耐酸耐热等性能，因此被广泛用作吸附剂、离子交换剂和催化剂，也可用于气体的干燥、净化和污水处理等方面。沸石还具有“营养”价值。在饲料中添加5%的沸石粉，能使禽畜生长加快，体壮肉鲜，产蛋率高。
由于沸石的多孔性硅酸盐性质，小孔中存有一定量的空气，常被用于防暴沸。在加热时，小孔内的空气逸出，起到了气化核的作用，小气泡很容易在其边角上形成。
【产品用途】
废水中的镉、铬、铅、汞、锌等重金属离子以及有机物是造成环境污染的有害物质，沸石则可通过离子交换、吸附功能将上述有害物质固定在孔穴道内，达到治理环境污染、净化水质、保护环境的功效。
